___________________________________________________________________________ / \ | Zeniea.com | \___________________________________________________________________________/ Foreword: I have dreaded creating this for quite some time now, it's hard to know exactly where to start. Zeniea.com has been in my position since July of 2011 and even though it's caused endless drama in my life I wouldn't have it any other way. It's a true testament to the power the internet has on people nowadays. It's a whole other world behind your monitor. I still struggle with social anxiety and a lot of other issues but this website still completes me. With that being said it's time to dive into the rich and invigorating history of the cesspool. Camora: In the early days of me becoming more familiar with computers one of the main things I wanted was my own website. I tried a bunch of different free alternatives but the problem was they didn't really offer any HTML editing. It was that build your own website shit that nobody fucking wants. I had just learned a bit of HTML from a book I checked out from my school library and I thought it would be cool to put my skills to the test and make a real website. And that is how http://camora.6te.net/ came to exist. This was my first real site where I created everything from scratch. The name was kind of a play-on from Majora. Not exactly sure how, but that's what my mind made. It was a really sad excuse for a website but it was also my first shot so fuck you. I honestly can't say anything eventful happened on this website because it had nothing community end. There was no databases on the free hosting I was using so I couldn't host a forum or chat. Although, it was obviously a huge ripoff of the original halext.org and moreso Tom.K's personal page. I had no originality back then. Early Days of Zeniea: After awhile of that freehost bullshit I got kind of tired of it. I was interested in owning my own website, but I had no money for the sort. However, my mom was working on getting a domain for her business and wouldn't luck have it, the plan she got at bluehost allowed for one free domain! So I registered zeniea.com and basically just ported over the old camora source to zeniea. Oh yeah, in case some of you zQuest fans are wondering, no there is not technical relevance to the site name and Zeniea the character. I'm sure Zeniea will be a relevant character in the story but it's not why I named the site after him. I just really like the name! Oh yeah! It's pronounced ZEN-EYE-AAH! Not ZEN-EEE-AAH After awhile of having the crappy camora homepage I decided to start branching out a bit with my web development knowledge. RandomGuy from Malwareup taught me basic CSS and since I frequented malwareup a lot back then I had help from everyone. They all more or less taught me computers. After having a decent amount of web development knowledge I decided I'd install my own AJAX Chat and this would begin a legacy of shit that I still deal with to this day! ieattacos and colinmurff helped me set it up and CPUMaster was actually the first user to log in besides myself. So I made him a moderator. My AJAX Chat was a standalone install so it wasn't connected to any forum. I had thexdarksider make me a script that allowed me to manually add users to the chat. As a few more people started frequenting the chat, I went on Malwareup and asked what the title of the chat should be. WIN2K8R2 suggested the title "Holy chet, batman!" and that would be the title of the chat for as long as I can remember. I never changed it for very long if I ever did at all. Now this is where it gets fun! MalwareUp reform and Zeniea Beta:
